International superstar rapper Vanilla Ice (AKA Robert Van Winkle), best known for his 90’s hit “Ice Ice Baby” is also known for his home improvement skills. Robert required exterior landscape lighting for his new television series called “The Vanilla Ice Project” on DIY Network.

The projects main goal was to highlight newly planted Palm trees and illuminate the distinctive stonework covering the front of the home to increase curb appeal.

To achieve this goal, EcoSense EcoSpec Landscape LED fixtures was the answer. A total of 22 EcoSpec Mini Flood fixtures and 4 EcoSpec Landscape Accent fixtures were utilized in the project. These LED fixtures are a great replacement for the traditional 100-Watt floodlight fixtures commonly used in landscape lighting.

“The key to good exterior lighting is to not see the light, you only want to see the effect. You have to really think about lighting, not only is it important but it makes a huge difference,” said Robert Van Winkle.

By converting to LED lighting, Van Winkle will see a return on his investment within the first year.
