Overview

LED Source Headquarters sets the standard for commercial buildings with LED lighting

From its modest beginnings in a 1200 sq.ft. flex space, to expanding into four separate locations scattered throughout a small business park, LED Source now has a new 13,000 sq.ft. facility built entirely to their specifications. Located in Wellington, Florida, the new building has the distinction of being the first commercial building of this size lit entirely with LED lighting. Using state-of-the-art LED technology, the new corporate headquarters showcases how LED lighting can dramatically revitalize and improve any commercial location while saving significant costs on maintenance and energy bills.

The new space primarily uses Cree CR24 and CR22 LED troffers, in addition to Lighting Science and Toshiba LED lamps, and Philips ExceLine BayLyter fixtures. A total of 178 LED fixtures and lamps provide energy-efficient illumination that when compared to conventional lighting sources, reduces related consumption by 69 percent or 40,488 kWh annually. It is estimated that the annual savings for LED Source will be $982 in air conditioning, $2,498 in maintenance costs and $4,453 in lighting energy. Total annual savings is projected at $7,933 and the Return On Investment (ROI) is anticipated to be a little over three years.
