02 Nov 11

LED Lighting Company Opens First Outpost in Bloomington, Plans 4 Additional Locations By 2016

Indiana Franchise(Bloomington, Ind.)---LED Source®, a company that supplies high quality LED lighting products to commercial and residential clients, opened its first Indiana location in August at 406 S. Walnut St. in Bloomington. The company will hold a ribbon cutting at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10. Bloomington mayor Mark Kruzan will execute the ribbon cutting and a reception will follow.

Local resident Hugh Kremer is the franchise owner of LED Source in Bloomington and plans to open up to four additional locations within the next five years in major metro areas such as Indianapolis and Columbus. Kremer is a member of the Monroe County Building Association, Monroe County Apartment Association and Business Networking International.

“I’m thrilled to bring LED Source to my community and to celebrate with this ribbon cutting,” says Kremer. “Indiana has made huge strides to go green over the past several years and my goal is to further encourage area businesses and residents to be more environmentally responsible, while offering a valuable resource for green lighting technology.”

LED Source provides LED lighting to both the commercial and residential markets, with a primary focus on new construction, retrofits and architectural projects.  Potential clients will include but are not limited to hotels, banks, office buildings, retail establishments, restaurants, convenience stores, car dealerships, schools, manufacturing plants and single-family and multi-family homes. Consumers are attracted to LEDs for both their financial and environmental advantages. They are further encouraged by federal tax incentives and local utility rebates – some that cover anywhere between 30 percent and 100 percent of the cost of LED lighting.

Founded in 2005 by lighting industry veteran Marcel Fairbairn, LED Source is a franchised supplier of LED lighting on a national and international scale. The company launched a franchise program in October 2009 and expects to have a network of 150 franchise offices throughout North America within three years.
