Last fall, old friends Mark Etcovich and Jamie Shapiro – both of whom have long worked in the electrical industry – turned their focus specifically to light-emitting diodes (LEDs), an increasingly popular source of general illumination, particularly for commercial buildings, due to their reliability, ease of maintenance and energy efficiency.
